Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to eligibility, usage, and key considerations

The Newborn Family Support Fund is a phased childcare support initiative based on Singapore’s existing childcare policy framework and future development trends. It is designed to help eligible families better understand and plan the use of Baby Bonus, the Child Development Account (CDA), and other related childcare support resources, thereby easing the financial pressure during the early stages of parenting.

Eligible households primarily include families who are currently expecting, families with a first, second, or third child, as well as families with children aged 0–6. The actual support available is assessed based on family structure, the child’s age, and other relevant conditions.

This platform is not a government agency. All information provided is based on publicly available childcare policies and future policy directions. Our role is to assist families in clearly understanding government subsidy mechanisms and, through planning guidance and resource coordination, help them make more effective use of existing childcare support.

Depending on each family’s circumstances, childcare support may typically be applied to children’s healthcare and medical protection, early education and developmental needs, daily childcare expenses, as well as mid- to long-term education and family planning. Proper utilisation helps enhance overall childcare stability.

The assessment process is straightforward and is intended solely to understand family circumstances and identify potential support options. It does not involve any government system operations and will not affect any childcare benefits or subsidies you are currently receiving or applying for.

Yes. Many families are not fully aware of the childcare support they may be entitled to. An initial assessment and information review can help identify suitable support options at an early stage and better prepare families for their child’s future development.
